Our Equine Services
Equine Consultations :
We offer veterinary consultations for a wide range of equine health concerns, including illness, injury, changes in performance and preventative healthcare.
Following a thorough assessment, we will discuss our findings and provide clear recommendations for treatment and ongoing management.
Mare Scanning :
We provide mare scanning throughout the breeding season, monitoring the reproductive cycle, identifying ovulation and confirming pregnancy. We can also advise on timing and management throughout the breeding process.
Equine Dentistry :
Regular dental examinations are an important part of maintaining your horse's health and comfort. Our dental services include routine examination and treatment, with any findings discussed with you and recommendations made for ongoing care.
Castration :
We provide castration services for both young and mature horses. Each horse is assessed individually and we will discuss the procedure, potential considerations and appropriate aftercare with you beforehand.
Equine X-Ray Facilities :
Advanced diagnostic imaging for horses, with comfort and safety at every stage.
Our veterinary centre provides dedicated equine radiography facilities for accurate assessment of bones, joints, limbs, and other areas where X-ray imaging can support diagnosis and treatment planning
Microchipping :
We provide microchipping for horses as a permanent means of identification. The procedure is quick and straightforward, and we can advise you on the relevant identification and passport requirements.
Horse Passports :
We can assist with veterinary aspects of horse passport requirements, including identification and certification where appropriate. If you are purchasing, selling or registering a horse, we can advise you on the documentation required and help ensure your horse's identification details are correctly recorded.
Faecal Testing :
Faecal egg counts are a valuable tool in monitoring parasite burdens and developing an effective worm control programme. Testing can help reduce unnecessary use of wormers while ensuring appropriate treatment when required.
Blood Testing :
Blood testing can provide important information about your horse's general health and can assist in investigating illness, monitoring existing conditions or assessing changes in performance. We can advise on the most appropriate tests based on your horse's circumstances.
